The choice of one’s business location is one of the key decisions. Although the entrepreneur’s intuition is valid, when looking for the ideal place for an investment, it is worth it to select one that meets certain criteria. What is worth being guided by?(partner material)

The location of a potential investment site is crucial from the point of view of the business in question. While particular industries may have additional requirements, a good location, and thus communication guaranteed by the proximity of, among others, expressways, major international routes and airports, is extremely valuable to companies.

The location that caters for business development is what the city of Lomza has to offer. This city of 60,000 inhabitants located in the north-eastern part of the Podlaskie Voivodeship has excellent transport connections. Lomza lies almost exactly halfway between Warsaw and the eastern and northern borders of the country and the European Union. The city features the Lomza Investment Zone. It is an area of over 200 hectares, located in the western part of the city, designated in the local spatial development plan for production and services, warehousing and storage facilities. The area is provided with the necessary, fully developed technical infrastructure, and internal traffic takes place on a road adapted to handle heavy-duty vehicles.

The area is adjacent to national road No. 61, approximately 2 km from the Lomza-West junction of the  Trans-European Transport Corridor Via Baltica.

Thus far, companies from the construction and furniture sectors have invested in this location. A modern logistics centre is under construction. A municipal heat and power plant is located in the immediate vicinity.

Fourth: access to skilled workers
